I’ve installed the table in place for location and positioning, no way I would attempt to move it due to the weight and damage that could easily happen. I assembled the base with no help and then recruited three fit buddies to position the outer glass top where the table will remain until death do us part! I am a retired architect and was very drawn to the design. However it will be several months before the house is occupied so I can’t speak to the utility of this excellent table; I do not foresee any problems though. Usually when I design a glass dining tabletop I specify a minimum thickness of ¾ inch, it would have been nice to have that option. The value is very good and the material quality is surprisingly good considering it was manufactured in China where corner cutting is an unfortunate reality.As an aside, his is not really a DIY project unless you are very experienced. The crating was good so nothing was damaged or missing, and the customer service is top notch.
It’s exceptional table, and the Lazy Susan that’s in the center is fantastic!
