My sales person called to let me know my piece had arrived, but when I called back to schedule the delivery, they couldn't find it. Salesperson called me back after double checking and said it was not in the warehouse (what? it's not like it could just walk away on its own!) and I'd have to wait another 6 weeks for the next shipment. The first one was damaged and didn't even come off the truck. The second one arrived with external damage too, but I didn't see it because it was dark when they finally delivered it. They gave me a small discount because of the damage. Then when I start to put my stuff into it, I noticed that the doors weren't level, the file drawers are really stiff and hard to open and most disappointing were the inside of the file drawers, that were put together so badly, that the files fall off at each end. Definitely not the quality product that I am used to from Dania.
Ok. Assembly required?? Not legs shelves or doors, but complete assembly. IKEA furniture is of similar quality in most cases and twice as easy to assemble. Disappointed that I had to order it vs get from the store, which I come to find out won’t sell you a floor model. Pay a ridiculous amount for shipping vs many other places especially since it comes literally in 50+ pcs attached by 100+ PCs of hardware hard to follow instructions especially if you are not mechanically inclined. (I am adept in my mechanical and construction skills (aircraft mechanic) it still took 4-5hrs to complete. Looks nice otherwise, drawer glides are stiffer than I’d like. No soft close on the door, I would recommend spending a $800-1500 on an assembled credenza from a different store. Wasn’t worths the headache or mess. Takes a considerable area to layout and assemble/correctly identify parts etc. the besta cabinets above the credenza took half the time to assemble and install.
This is a wonderful console. It works smoothly and adds such a classic touch to my office.
Parts arrived damaged. Replacements are on the way. File cabinet drawers are difficult to pull. Hopefully they loosen up over time.
