To increase the lifespan and look of your outdoor furniture, simply cover your pieces when not in use. Outdoor furniture is designed to withstand the elements, but will begin to show signs of wear when left exposed.
Outdoor fabrics are hardy and resilient, designed to last well through normal wear and tear; these fabrics resist fading, mildewing, dirt, water and staining. While not often needed, cleaning outdoor upholstery is usually as simple as spot-cleaning areas that need attention with mild soap and lukewarm water.
Outdoor fabrics are designed to resist the effects of being exposed to the elements; note that like indoor fabrics, outdoor upholstery will look more weathered the longer it is used and left exposed to the elements. Over time outdoor upholstery will inevitably experience fading, and the longer your piece is exposed the more fading will occur. Maximum fading will be seen when pieces are left consistently exposed to the sun; exposure to UV rays can cause outdoor fabric fibers to react and break down, leaving pieces faded. Remember to shift throw pillows or decorative objects that you place on top of your outdoor upholstery so that your pieces will not have uneven fading or splotchy areas. To prolong the life and look of your outdoor furniture, keep upholstered pieces covered or stored when they’re not in use.

Sofa set is very comfortable, but the finish is C+ at best per previous review. Lasted a couple months before full peeling of thin “teak” stain. Will have to sand/strip the whole set and refinish with an outdoor quality stain, factory finish seems to be painted on. Attached backrest cushions would be great on another iteration of this set.

Great item, looks good, easy to assemble. Note, it is a LONG 2 box set , so have an adequate vehicle (SUV will not work) to pick up if you don't opt for store delivery The instructions clearly state that the wood is subject to moisture absorption, so prepare and be ready to take care of your furniture. If you want cheap maintenance free furniture, Walmart is right around the corner. I

The sofa was delivered and cushions had to be repaired immediately as the seams were coming apart/not sewn correctly on several of the pieces. The local store arranged someone to come to my home and repair relatively quickly. The pieces were stored for winter, and put out in June. Now, it's been literally a few days past the one year warranty, and after lightly cleaning the wood surfaces with water and a foam dish cleaning pad, the finish is coming right off. It looks AWFUL. I called the store, but they said that since the warranty is a few days past the one year mark, there was nothing they would do. I'm pretty disappointed in the quality. The finish is maybe a single coat, and I am embarrassed at how cheap it looks! Not an inexpensive investment in my home, and now I have to spend MORE money and a lot of time refinishing the wood. I also ordered the square matching table, and it's the same result. Big thumbs down.
